Why we are taking this roadtrip...
Jessica and Orit just graduated!!!! Orit got her B.S. in Civil Engineering from Georgia Tech. Jessica got her M.P.H. in Epidemiology from New York Medical College. What better way to celebrate than a cross-country road trip? Jessica's fiance, John, out in California has a little to do with it too :)

Awesome pics. Who is the guy beside Orit? Why was that Dr. so special, did he give you a hard time. Good pic of your dad. Jess, is your ankle okay now? I'd like to see more pics of you and John. congrats to you both. I'd like to hear the park ranger story. I bought you the strangest grad present ever, let me know where to send it.
Hi, Jessica & Orit!
What a wonderful blog! I love reading about your ongoing road odyssey and will be looking for updates every day.
Jessica, your ankle looks nasty...keep up with the ice.
Congratulations, again, to both of you on your graduations.
Love,
MOM
P.S. Jana, the guy beside Orit is her older brother, Ilan. Nice guy...
Sounds like quite an adventure!
I'm looking forward to reading regular updates.
Sorry about the ankle, Jessie!
Be safe!
Love you!
If the swelling and pain has not stopped by the weekend, you need to see a doctor. Keep it wrapped and ice on it. What did you do? You should have labeled the picture" The men in Jessica's life" and congratulations Orit....I think that is the first time I have ever seen your brother...he is nice looking, but then you all are...Be careful and have fun but know if I don't get a daily update, the cops will be after you!
You almost lost me on the ankle pic. looks terminal. Hope you got your mail from John. If not, lie to me. Keep your powder dry.

Really nasty ankle, Jessie! Looks like something from the CDC. And who is this "Mr. Smith"?
Have a great trip, and do something you've never done before!
Oh, Jessica, it sounds like you are having a great time! You need to save all your notes and publish a book on all your adventures driving across the country. Aunt Joanne (Grace's sister)
Hi, Jessica & Orit!
Will the tent ever be used, or will Super 8 be the "motel of choice?" Sounds like everything is going very well, even though you are sometimes behind schedule...Of course, I'm jealous because you guys are on the road, and I am behind the desk. But I live vicariously through the blog, so keep the reports coming!
Love,
MOM
I couldn't see the Amish pics, bummer. Re the computers and cell phone, I remember just being amazed at how "connected" you were when we made the ER trip to the Air Force Academy. I'm so jealous...looks like so much fun...I would love to go camping, anywhere right now. Orit's brother is handsome...apparently NY has lots of handsome gentleman, we ought to know, we both have one.
Love you Jess,..hello Orit

What a rafting adventure you had! Did you all land up in the water or just "prissy girl?" I gather there was no rafting guide on the trip...
Love,
MOM
I LOVE you girls... CONGRATULATIONS again!!!
I miss y'all too...!
:-)
Ha ha ha! What you can and can't buy for $35 in Indiana! Very funny, though, life on the road...

Good idea. I did this but Tallahassee --> SF. You have to drive through Southern Utah -- Glenn Canyon, Zion Natn'l Park -- and forget about the interstate when you get to Utah. Use Scenic roads 24 and 12. Come and see me in the Bay Area if you make it up this far. I'm in Concord which is ~20 miles East of Oakland/Berkeley. In two weeks I'll be living in Berkeley. Looks like you're having a great time! 404-313-0267 (Geoff, by the way)
who wrote that dreadful guidebook to the hotels, anyway? the pictures of the covered bridges are lovely, as is the madonna of the trails statue. "Meet Me in St. Louis..." La la la!
